Hello Again Cyber Anglers,
This past week was a tale of two cities. The beginning of the week opened with normal weather and typical afternoon scattered thunder showers so we were able to fish outside and hammer the big Trout at the rigs between Northwest and Fornation. Again topwater ruled the mornings until the sun came up and then live cocahoes Carolina rigs on a mono shock leader with a pegged 1/8 oz. weight worked best. We anchored up current and fished the early morning incoming tide. We fished Deep Bayou area in the afternoons on falling tide.
Thursday afternoon thru the weekend we had general rain and thunder storms to contend with Saturday and Sunday both fishable days. We fished the Deep Bayou area so we could run back in if the showers got bad, but still caught nice Specks especially at the rocks and then the Helipad. We shot a show at the rocks, again catching several lunkers. This show should be up on
http://betweenthebanks.com and LCN Television Network by Thursday. Best trip of the week was Wednesday morning as Greg and this two sons worked over the Redfish and Big Specks at Bernie’s Rig north of Northwest Shoal. Heading back today after editing so if you need any help getting on the fish, check out our venues or call the BTB fishing line at 504.458.9451 before your trip or for charter info. In the meantime good luck fishing….Capt. Bob
