When i was kid growing up in WBR Parsih My&ADad&Grandpaw fished Trit lines,hoop nets, Flat Box Traps&all even Crawfished too in the Spillway caught Gators too so I've seen it all and have done alot of it, Well my grandpaw use to smoke them in homemade smoker, was Fire built in hole in ground then ditch dug 6-8 ft from hole then used ole 55 gal barrel converted into grille, Cut the drum @bout 3/4 height used top for cover ,the bottun sat over another Hole dug grille on top use ya favorite wood cover the fire hole w.tin as well as the ditch smoke went threw and up threw Barrel, And yea you can use regular smoker that they have now days to do it works just like you smoking a Turkey,Ham, Sausage anything
