I used to go fish the miss. river when I was a kid . We've never eaten the fish out the river for that reason , but would give them to some people we knew . They never complained about how they tasted , and were always thankful .
But two albinos in one fishing trip ?? There has to be something more to it than that !
That's about the same odds as hitting the lottery twice . Is that possible for chemicals from a plant to make a fish albino ?
Wow two in one night! Thanks for sharing.
Way back when I was growing up on a farm in north Louisiana my uncle stocked a few thousand cats in one of our biggest ponds. One of them was white. I hunted him like Ahab for most of my childhood lost him once when sis tried to net him the line broke and I cried like my dog up and died. Was bout 6 or 8 years later I caught him. One a trout line baited with scented hot dogs. Then my pop cut my head off in the only picture we have of um. Heh bout a 15lb channel catfish, all white with pink eyes.
Not sure if chemicals can cause albino but they can cause other mutations and I am pretty sure that mutations could cause the trait to develope, then its just passed on.
'Most forms of albinism are the result of the biological inheritance of genetically recessive alleles (genes) passed from both parents of an individual, though some rare forms are inherited from only one parent. There are other genetic mutations which are proven to be associated with albinism.'

We've caught thousands of catfish and Ive never seen one of those in the wild before . You caught two in the same night . That's crazy . One looks like a bullhead blue and the other a regular blue I think ... Thanks for the pics
