perch fly rod

what size fly rod should i use for perch? 8 or 9 foot?

I would use a 9' 5 weight. Get a decent rod and don't worry too much about the reel.

8 or 9 foot will do...

I wanted to try it so I bought a 9 foot Bugger Fly Outfits combo. They run about $40.00 at Bass Pro Shop. It has a nice feel, is 5 weight, cheap and I sometime use it to just perch jerk. Hope that helps.
