REEL LIFE FISHING
Snapper season has come an gone for another year but to end this season I had a few friends come aboard the REEL LIFE to do some damage to the snapper population. On board was the Chairman of the Board - My wife Laurie. Also along for the ride was David and Zachary Cook, Captain Eric Venable and his son Blake. Captain Marty LaCost and Captain Travis Miller. Acting Captain was Bryson Trahan and deck had Ian. On target for this fun day of fish catching was red and mangrove snapper, plus anything else that would like to come along for an ice nap. Most important person on the boat was my friend Zachary, he wanted to fish with Capt Tommy so I made sure things worked out and he was on board catching lots of fish. Now as far as catching goes for the so called Trout Experts otherwise known as Captains, it took a little training but at least they are coach-able. Chris's son Blake on the other hand is a pro. He can out fish anyone on the boat if he is around. Travis on the other hand started out with a big snapper but could only manage small ones till he got lessons from Zachary and Blake. Marty tried to catch mangroves but they pull like real fish and he had troubles getting them in the boat at first but later learned the same way Travis did and then all were putting fish in the boat. Zachary's dad David was Mr. automatic because I think he caught a fish every time his line went in the water. When the spray settled and all of the fun and kidding was done we had almost 600 pounds of fish in the box. It is almost too much fun going fishing with guys like I had on the boat. Laurie and I really appreciate the help these guys do for HIGH LIFE TACKLE.
