6.1 is my guess. Good fish from Dularge. You sure you didn't slip over to Venice or Ponchatrain? LOL

Looks like about 27-28 inches and 7.25 pounds. Tomorrow it might be 8 pounds. Reminds me of past times fishing around Venice.

Is that guy a guide in Matagorda Texas? A couple of friends of mine have fished with a guide over there that catches big trout all the time and he was wanting to come to Dularge to catch big numbers.

Here is the pic that tells it all...Looked a lot bigger with the old 'hold the fish out trick' ...but still a decent fish. Has anyone caught a 6 or better from Dularge or Cocodrie this season??

One would think with all the big numbers of trout caught this summer that some 6 & 7 lb fish would show up. Our area just does not hold big fish like other areas of the state but its refreshing to see a picture of a legit 5 lb fish. Thanks for sharing.

This trout would be leading the STAR CCA SE speckled trout division...if my customer would have purchased a star ticket. Get a ticket, you might just reel in a new bayboat..
