50 Nice Trout
Down N Dularge
After seeing how good the weather was on Saturday, my son and I decided to head down Dularge to chase some trout today. After a 45 minute ride, and dodging a big shower, we settled in at our first stop. The day started off slow, but steady. Top waters and plastic was the ticket. Although we never got into the fast and furious action, it was a steady day catching fish all day. A good limit of nice trout was the result of our efforts. I was blessed to enjoy another day on the water with my son! When we returned home, we filleted the fish and fried some fresh for the family. It doesn't get much better than that!

Ricky, who would have thought back in the 80's when chasing those bass on the beds in Lake Hackberry, we both would be chasing slimy specks all these years later. lol Good trip!!

Bill, good to hear from you! Hope you have been well! I am still a bass buster at heart, but my son likes specks and reds. Whenever I get the opportunity to fish with him, I go wherever he wants, usually for specks or reds down DuLarge or Pt. A Chein. You still fish bass or sac-a-lait? I sold my team Nitro and will be getting another one by Jan. Bass are biting almost as good as the specks! That was some good fishing back in the 80's. Remember the Monday morning fishing stories at W/D?? LOL! Keep in touch. Talk to you soon.
