no more houseboats on the wax...
A few years back i along with several hunters attended a meeting held in Houma, LA to discuss whether or not to close hunting in the Wax for the afternoons.The meeting was well organized,both sides got to express their views. Why didn't the LDWF approach the mooring permits in the same manner? My guess is that this was a knee-jerk reaction by someone in Baton Rouge that either doesn't hunt or fish or when he/she does it isn't on public land. As sportsmen and women we need to come together on things like this while we still can. Whats next? Limited access? Lottery hunting only on all LDWF land? Here's a trivial thought sportsmen and women.... Let's follow the money and see where the truth is...

All of us on the other post are willing to do whatever we have to do or need we need as many people as we can to show how important this is to us they have some phone numbers on the other post to call and I guess move forward from there and try and come up with some solution

LDWF is running amuck wild. Man i get excited got all these awesome areas to hunt on salvador wma and manchac now its an laa. Im like im not paddling a unstable pirogue with two inch of freeboard across a 2 mile wide pond in a northwester. I wont do it so cant hunt there no more. Same thing with the prairie its all bull****. They keep making laws man. Its suppose to be FUN who freaken cares if you kill 4 ducks in a go devil vs 5 in a pirogue. People just goin out to have fun but not anymore they not. I know they try to do good the ldwf but man they should just leave stuff alone and the majority of sportaman agree...ask them.

we as well had a meeting in BR for the same thing, and it worked out. Going to try to find out some more info tomorrow. There are other threads like 'no more houseboats' in which i have listed the guy who signed the letter's email address, and somebody else put the representative for that parish's info. Hopefully we can all work together to get this fixed.
