Fishing in Fourchon / Grand Isle in Southeast Louisiana

GI Surf Fishing Rocks

Me and the family will be in GI next weekend. We are staying at a camp on the gulf side. I have never fished off the bank, but there are several rock piles just off the shoreline. Is fishing good near these rocks? Any help would be appreciated as this will be my first time surf fishing.

Surf fishing

You don't need to go that far to catch fish. I went two weeks ago and limited out from the first sandbar with live shrimp. if you want to fish the rock jetties, you'll have to wade through deep water to reach the 2nd or 3rd sandbar.
