Inshore Fishing in Cocodrie / DuLarge in South Central Louisiana
Night Trout Slam!!!
Last night I had Greg and Bonnie Vest on board. We had originally planned to go Monday morning but with the skies falling and not wanting to fight the storms we rescheduled for last night. It worked out great because they would've never taken a night trip without this happening and now I don't think they could imagine not ever experiencing a night trip. What a great experience for these two. Slick calm seas and trout slamming our plastics! Finished the night off with a beautiful starlit ride to the dock. The fish were so aggressive that they were hitting it as soon as it hit the water. You couldn't have a bow in your line or you would miss them. LSU Cocodrie Cocohoe and avocado sparkle beetle did the majority of damage with maybe 10 or so caught on the blue back tsunami.
Thanks to Boat City in Hammond for hooking my trailer up when it needed some TLC. They are awesome over there so if you're on the northshore and need boat maintanence make sure you hit them up. Big thanks to Captain Marty LaCoste for setting up the trip. I'll post the video when I finish.
