Inshore Fishing in Delacroix Island in Southeast Louisiana
75 TROUT 8:15am
75 Delacroix TROUT 7-9-12
75 TROUT Back at it again after a little illness knocked me down.Left the dock with a light show around ,hit Black Bay made one stop and put 75 trout in the box for 8:15am.It was nice steady bite then the sheepshead joined in then a pod of porpoise came in to feed. They did not mess up the bite to much but the were playing with the trout, they would follow the trout up to the boat then turn and swim away. They would come within 2 feet of the boat ,it was a cool thing to experience. All the trout were caught on 1/4 oz sliding sinker on live shrimp. The fish would move from near the surface to about 10ft down, guess they were dodging the porpoise. We were back at the dock for 9:15am and missed all the rain.
