Lake Pontchatrain Oddly Getting Hot for Start of July

Usually we like to fish the deeper water and passes this time of year but here lately we have been finding the trout, reds and drum in there conventional spring time places. We have been very happy to see nice trout catches especially for July right here in our back yards.
Kristi and I went out yesterday and threw the 'Midnight Mullet' Matrix Shad and had a limit of Drum, a couple big reds and a big sheepshead and back at DockSide for 7:45am- wow great start to a nice july fourth.
We have been having some days with nice trout catches which is very rare for lures in July. Check out Capt. Greg's article on www.LaSpecks.com :

and make sure to watch Capt. Dudley and CT Fox 8 news show tonight as they have been catching some big trout in the Lake too.
