caught at ramah under interstate 10.
FYI - A goo that's 12-14 inches long will weigh anout a pound, pound and a half. I've tried them from several different places and the ones from Lake Verret are by far the best tasting ones. That one is perfect size and fries up real good. A big one, 4 pounds and up, makes a killer sauce piquante.
Cool fish. Glad you found a spot to fish on Monday mornings. Anywhere along that levee can be a good spot. Even the canal on the outside the levee on the gravel road south of the interstate. My camp is on that road. Some members caught a mess of catfish on noodles this weekend. North of where you were is the South Farm Complex. Go up the gravel road and look for the sign over the levee. Got a pretty stretch of canal there too.
Can the moderator that pulled my comment please explain why it was pulled? I did not use profanity, call the poster any names, threaten him or anyone else or say anything derogatory. I just pointed out that there is NO way a 12-14 inch fish is going to weigh 6-7 pounds. If I kill a 1.5 year old spike can I post it as a 400 pound 180 inch monster without getting educated?
Just looking for a little clarification please.
