Does anyone know what happen at Grand Isle Saturday evening. I was at a camp when the Rescure boat and two ambulances went by going towards Bridge Side.

Happens every year and it'll happen again before the season is over. Folks wade fishing on the sandbar off of Elmers Island.

You can feel the sand being washed out from under your feet in ankle deep water in the pass. WHY would anyone want to take the risk and wade it???

I fish that area a lot and every time I do there are wade fishermen out in over their waist...accident waiting to happen...ARRIVE ALIVE!!!

I was at Bridgeside when the rescue crews arrived. Spoke to an EMT friend who said two were swept out of Caminada Pass. Two jetskiers picked them up in the gulf as they were getting ready to launch the rescue boat.
There were also 5 rescue calls on Sat. Big tides all week and plenty people make for dangerous conditions. Be safe.
