Ya know things must be getting bad , my buddy was telling me today that his camp got raided for the second time in a year , they got him real good the first time , and a couple of neighbors of his also got it too between Thurday and today ------------- the reason I say things must be getting tough is all they stole this time from him was to empty his freezer of steaks , shrimp , fish , soft shells , everything was gone , emptied the ice box including stuff like 1/2 bottles of salad dressing and mayo , even took all the cans and boxs of food , sugar , coffee , salt and pepper it was like they went grocery shopping for the 4th , they took all the household cleaning products including stuff like laundry soap and dishwater liquid , and just a few material things like TV dish recievers , micro wave , to get into the garage they broke a hole with a hammer thru a wall big enough to walk thru but didn't take anything ---------- after talking with the Sheriff they both pretty much know what family did it but they tell him they can't do nothing about it right now
'Insufficient evidence' huh? That's total BS. I would institute a Civil Suit against them for the value of what was lost plus your mental anguish. Let a jury decide how 'insufficient' the evidence is. Then have your immediate family members institute another suit for their personal mental anguish caused by sleepless nights and the thought that these scumbags might enter the camp one night while they're sleeping there.
“ the pictures are insufficient evidence to convict”.
If they couldn't convict them of theft, they should at least have been arrested and convicted of breaking and entering & destruction of private property at the least.
My uncle had a problem with someone breaking into his shrimp boat and the law couldn't catch the thieves. He took matters into his own hands and rigged up a 'death trap' to keep the first culprit on the boat until police arrived. Some how word got out about his trap and no one took anything from him after that. He had a metal tubing for a door handle and the door was wood. He hooked an extension cord to the inside of the door handle and plugged it in when he would leave and unplug it when he came back to the boat.
May not be a legal solution but once one person gets electrocuted, people will think before taking from others.

That's the way to raise 'em! What's next, a bank!?!
