I have checked with several and friends that said they can't do it. Guess this is to small a job. If you have the name of a welder I would appeciate a email . Boat is in Baton Rouge and Lafitte all time so no problem. I would like a small guy don't want to make this a big deal with a major shop. Thanks to all for the quick reply
You lost me Admiral I am only a capt with a 10year old boat. I am not into welding and all my friends that are said no problem I will get it done. Then sorry unable to get it done reason for my post. Thanks again for all the post sounds like this is getting to be a big job and all I want to do is fix a small leak.
Mike Lambert aka: Bayou metal works in St. Amant.
Give him a call and tell him your problem. Small shop, good guy. Repairing alum. boats for years. He's located in the heart of 'alum. boats in need of repair' country!! Let me know if you need help locating him. He's on Stringer Bridge road. Might be called something else of Google maps. Good luck.
Any aluminum welding shop or boat builder should be able to do this without any problems. The problem will be to find one who has time to mess with it. No need to take the boat off the trailer, just need to lift one end enough to get to the defect. Where are you located? I might be able to suggest someone in your area.
