All depends on the Charge(s). If it is a felony charge then you are probably breaking your probation by owning a weapon. If not a felony then it should be no problem. But like the previous poster said check w/ LASP or your probation officer if you are on monitored probation.

'gun seized on paper' What does that mean? There is no registration on guns in Louisiana. What the hell are you talking about? Either they took your gun, or they didn't.

WHAT IT MEANS TO SEIZE ON PAPER IS THAT WHEN AN AGENT WRITES YOU A CITATION HE CAN LEGALLY SEIZE YOUR GUN. HE USUALLY WILL NOT DO THIS AND JUST WRITES THE SERIAL # ON THE GUN ON THE CITATION AS BEING SEIZED BUT ACTUALLY DOES NOT TAKE THE WEAPON. THEY USUALLY ALSO NOTE THIS ON THE CITATION. THE REASON IS THAT A LOT OF GUNS WERE LOST IN THE PAST AND THE WLF WERE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. BE AWARE THAT THE SERIAL # IS RECORDED.
