There is a great launch right North of there. I pass there several times a week and I see people put in right across from the rest. No bait shop but there are several places that sell all kind of bait shrimp and the cat fish gang use soft shell crabs which you can purchase there also.

near middendorfs there is a seafood stand where they buy and sell seafood, its on the side road you use for parking so just keep going and you will see it about a tenth of a mile down the road from the restuarant

Yeah the boat launch is on north pass it's a big public launch and I don't think there is a specific bait shop like said but the place is called Renos seafood . You can get soft shell crab or market shrimp . And there's the fuel dock , I think they may sale some artificial there , and maybe worms . Fuel dock is right behind middendorfs .

...there used to have a bait shop on S-side of Pass in the same block w/Alligator Den...can't recall if it's still there ???...it might be best to start out about 6 am and hit the cuts close to LaPlace first and work toward the Pass...by 2 pm 'ya can 'catch' a big frozen mug and a big seafood platter w/another big frozen mug !!! think Baby, think !!!...cheers
