Yes, there is a grace period. If you buy a license in June, it's good til June 30th of the next year.

I'm not aware of any grace period regarding an expired license. Licenses expire on June 30 so after that date she legally has no license unless she buys a new one.

There is no 'grace ' period. But i believe that you can buy the 2012 / 2013 license now and they will be good till June 30 2013.

there is only one weekend per year when you don't need to have a fishing license, but i do believe it has passed it think it was june 9-10, but as of june first if you need to buy a license it is good till june 30 of the following year, there for if you buy her a license today, i will not expire as previously mention till june 30 2013

i asked that very question while getting checked on day and was told by a wildlife agent that if you buy a new license it starts as of the day you buy it so if you can find a 2013 license (which should be available everywhere) then its good for the year plus from the day you bought it you are legal to fish with it so that covers the grey area when you need to buy a license in june when its about to time for the old license will expire.

not that they are expected to know anything but the lady selling licenses at walmart also said the same thing for whatever a store clerks knowledge is worth lol.

just dont buy a 2012 license because it doesnt extend your time so a 2012 license is not going to help you

As of this year new fishing licenses are valid 1 year from purchase date.
