at 12 today the 21st there was a 30 minute wait to get to the bridge. i hope they get this fixed before the big rodeos start.

Good news ...are you kidding me! Traffic was backed up one mile north of toll bridge. I have a
geaux pass and it took me 25minutes to get through the toll section of the bridge. Can Louisiana do anything right? Put people on the ground collecting money and add a second lane at least one mile long for geaux pass. All engineers and managers responsible for this should be fired.

the whole problem with this situation is, politicians or whoever is in charge, just ain't got no common sense or just wants more money for their big old pockets!!! human beings is the simple answer!!! its funny, how us little simple people, in their eyes, can see it very clearly and the highly intelligent people????, can't!!!

6-22-12 Toll machine out of order. Traffic backed up, engineer were working on it, don't know how long it took. my dad had a past so he went around and went on his way.

Just when I thought that whole bridge system (not just the tolls the whole thing) couldn't get any dumber they do this. Theres not enough space to get the geaux pass folks around to let them go and traffic will be backed up for miles. This will inevitably invite pissed off (and rightfully so) geaux pass holders to try to go around and there will be a wreck very soon adding to the fustercluck. As dumb as the old system was it was still better than this. I never had a problem with the old system as I paid on my phone each trip. If you are going down for tarpon better leave an extra day early.

DO NOT!!! Try to go around the line of traffic unless there is a flagman or police man telling you to do so. The state police are watching the line and writing tickets . Also they are patrolling the elevated road and writing speeding tickets.

why didn't, they just keep the old system and if you didn't want to pay ahead, like the internet, kiosk, whatever, just drive thru and the camera will take a picture of your plate! then, just mail you a bill for the toll and add forty whatever cents to the toll for the stamp or one dollar to the toll, for a convenience charge??? i would be glad to pay the convienence charge!!! nothing surprises me anymore!!! now, they got the cops giving tickets, because they know people will be peed off!!! they just can't pass up the opportuniy to prey on the people, to make more money!!! it sure does suck!!! only in louisiana????????? i think, if i was mayor of grand isle, i would really be peed off, about all of this, because the only thing, this will do to grand isle, is cause lost revenue, because some people, will not put up with the aggravation and just go to the gulf coast, a lot easier, and who can blame them!!! Back in my younger days, we'd loadup the 12 ft. Monark and 9.8 Merc. in the back of my Ford pickup and head to GM on a Sat. morning. Got a ticket in front of Dufrene's Bakery going 36 in a 35. Cop had doughnut sugar on his upper lip while he was writing the ticket!
