Wow...what a windy day down on the lower delta!! We knew it was going to be a tough one, but the wind went from bad to worse in a HURRY this morning! Luckily we have lots of hiding spots and with the river in low green condition, the redfish are all over the inside right now. Today was day 3 for my group out of Texas. Mr Hal and his people have been fishing with us for around 10 years. Over the years they have had some INCREDIBLE days. Today was not shaping up to be one of them! First stop was a waste of time....made a quick move and started catching some nice reds and a flounder or two. The tide stopped so we just waited it out and then moved a mile or so to another little spot that the redfish seem to like when the river is low.....well they were LOVING it today! Before I could stop the boat all 4 guys are hooked up! We had our limit in no time and caught and released another 30+!!! Great day in ATROCIOUS conditions!!
The last few days have seen easy limits of redfish and nice catches of trout except today. Today was the exception, the summer pattern is here and fishing will be INSANE through August. Dont miss out on fishing the number 1 fishing destination on the US coast!!
