The Kids had a blast this past weekend catching catfish from our pier. They were using light tackle Diawa 120 and 100 reels on 7 foot rods with 15lb and 20lb test. We were using cut mullet for bait tight lining on the bottom. They caught a bunch of smaller ones 12lbs and under during day light and the River Monsters showed up at night. The four biggest weighed in at 38lbs, 30lbs, 23lbs, and 22lbs. They also had several break offs on other big fish.
It was a blast watching these kids fight these Big Cats, and then having to net them from the pier was a chore!
