The majority of people that fish that area likely have the thought process of for every fish YOU catch from there is one less fish for THEM to catch from there. I have fished the Wax, but not Bateman. I learned the Wax by trial and error. Enter canals at idle speed. A lot of sand bars in waters that you would think are deeper than what they are. A map and depth finder are a must have, especially if you fish out of a rig heavier than a tin pan. Information on freshwater areas is kind of like government assistance. Don't expect to get much good from it.
well i appreciate the information i just thought that if la sportsman posts a video about fishing they would help the watchers. i have 'heard' that there are a lot of sandbars so thanks for the info. that is the reason i was asking for any help. i never fished wax never even heard of it. i just seen the video and looked it up on google earth and the place is smack in the middle of the atchafalaya. then there are the stories of people having to push their rig in ankle deep water..
you post a video about bateman island but not one comment from anyone.. im not trying to start anything just looking for some info after watching your video. does anyone have any info on this?
