Last year's event was sponsored by the New Orleans Fly Fishers club. I made a request, prior to submitting my column for the September issue, for a date. So the event could get some publicity. No response. Since then, two more inquiries. Still no response.

If the event is not held before the end of October, then it won't be held this year. Usually by early November, the rios begin their descent into the deepest water, or warmest confines they can find and simply shut their metabolism down for winter.

Sorry Catch I thought Larry had given you the date. The Rodeo is going to be held on October 23 with an 8:00am starting time. Anyone who is a member in good standing of a fly fishing club is eligible.
