not a duck hunter but can tell u there very think in there in the winter see alot of hunters and they always have a boat load spec in the back of bayou bilioxi there are some dams in there that lead to some very nice ponds i have been in for redfish and were packed wit ducks . all the guys i see bring bay boats wit piroges or tow there flats good luck

like the screen name. It looks a little familiar. Regarding Boloxi Marsh, a flat boat will get you almost everywhere you need to go, but you will have to paddle to your pond. During teal season there is enough water to run you boat in the ponds and to hunt from your boat. At least that is what I do and have great results. A flat boat is your best bet b/c that place is huge and requires a lot of scouting to stay on the birds. For public land it is a great place to hunt and can rival anyplace in the south. Relatively, it does not a whole lot of pressure b/c of the long boat rides to reach it. Good luck and be careful.
