Beshels

Pointe a la Hache

I wasn't really amazed to see my picture of Beshels on p. 26 of the November Sportsman. However, there was no additional information. Here is the rest of the story. There are no utilities. Power poles are being replaced going south. Water the same. Nowhere to stay, very few will rebuild. We heard that Beshel (hear say) does not want to rebuild but may lease to someone who does.Has anyone talked to Neal that can confirm? We found it easier to go in at 5 am through Belle Chase. There was a 350' break in the marsh levee that is now sealed. Backdown is usable. Two weeks ago 46 trout were caught in the marina.Anything left in the marina is gone. There was a 14,000 barrel spill at Bass which is being cleaned up. Don't get uptight Andy, I'll have another report in 10 days or so on the marsh and fish. I know ya'll have been under a tremendous pressure. The good news is that the specks haven't.

Alligator?

I'm afraid that isn't an alligator; just a twisted piece of aluminum.
