The ORANGE GROVE area is an area that is over 16.5 square miles (The ORANGE GROVE OIL and GAS FIELD), is located on the NORTH side of the INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY about nine miles WEST of HOUMA, LA along the ICWW.
It is a prime Fresh Water bass area that is a MUST stop along with the similar LAKE HATCH Oil Field area just to the SOUTH of the Intracoastal Water Way by bass anglers who are in the area.
One of the main ORANGE GROVE canals that lead to a series of “Crows Feet” canals is a junction of a North~South canal that intersects the Intra Coastal Waterway is at or about 29° 32.171’ ~ N. Latitude ~ 90° 50.537’ ~ W. Longitude.
Unless otherwise specified, all positions are stated as Degrees, minutes and thousandths of minutes (DDD,MM.mmm) and were determined using WGS 84 Datum. All bearings and courses are stated in Magnetic degrees.
