Who dat the Saints gonna draft?

The NFL draft is fast approaching. Who do you think (or want) the Saints to draft in the first round? I am of the opinion that they will trade all pro left tackle Jammal Brown for a draft pick or picks. My hope is that they get value for him---like at least a number 2. Also they could package him with their number one and move way up to pick a player they covet. Should be interesting as they have 6 overall picks barring any trades. If they retain their number one choice I would like to see a defensive player taken. A defensive tackle, end or outside linebacker would be nice.

Just a little trivia. In 2001 the Chargers selected Drew Brees with the 32nd pick of the draft.

I think the O-Line is in good shape, even without Brown. Having said that, if they trade him and get a pick in the top 5 and can get one of the top 2 DE's coming out in the draft, that would be in their best interest... However, I really wish they could ink Sharper for at least 1 more year... I am kind of concerned with their lack of Activity in free agency, but I'm pretty sure they have something up their sleeve!!

Everyone knows we need DE, or an OLB that can play DE. I really hope they snatch up a defensive nose tackle somewhere, we had to many big running plays going straight up the middle.

I would love to have Weatherspoon, just don't know if he'll be there by pick number 32.

The corner back Robinson was a surprise to me. But of course you can never have too many good corners. Last year when Porter and Greer went down we wer not the same team. This gives them some security and maybe paves the way for Jenkins to make the move to safety if Sharper does not come back.

i was a little surprised too, but i think what u said is exactly what they will do. jenkins to safety and this robinson will be the nickel back. we still have 5 more picks plus our linebacker that we drafted in the 4th round last year that got hurt and is now ready to prove himself (stanley arneaux, i think). we should go for a d-linemen next then mabey another linebacker......and if i know sean payton i'm sure he's gonna pick at least one running back and mabey even a receiver.......by the way, who is drew brees' backup?

dumb pick

i thought that was a stupid pick, something that could have waited for the second round pick...as someone has already said sean payton will pick at least one back, and the saints were lucky that toby gerhart was there but they did not pick him.

and drew bree's back up is chase daniel out of mizzou.
