dude i was out there Saturday. let me tell ya i almost fell out of the boat swatting at them. they were horrible and contrary to popular belief they do BITE!!!
so long cloths and a mesh screen hat for the little guy.
i caught a 32" 8.5lb red but that was the only bite i got other than the gnats. they were there just weren't hitting on anything.
I spent the weekend in Leeville working on my camp and the No-See-Ums were viscious when the wind laid down. The only thing that worked for me was Bounce dryer sheets. I would wipe myself down with a couple and then tuck those into to my socks and hang two more from My hat. I can honestly say I had no issues with them after that. As for the fishing it has been tough to find trout, still a little early in the season, but there are a few being caught. I had a couple of young men borrow my battery charger friday and they seem to do okay on the trout dead shrimp fishe on the bottom.
Good luck,
Kirby
