Bass Fishing in Saline-Larto in Central Louisiana

Saline Larto

I will be planning a trip to Saline- Larto in late Feb to early March. Can anyone give me some pointers and what to expect. We will be fishing for bass and crappie, and is there any camping around the lake.

Depending on what end you will be fishing.....woodsons landing has camping spots but it si far from the main lake/Larto. If you want to fish both your best spot will bee the Ski Point campground off of Hunt Oil Road...10 minutes to thee main Saline lake and 15 to Larto

Fish saline

The white perch should be pulling up under the bushes. park your boat on the bank, using a slip cork about 8"-12" along bank with shallow flats bushes out from bank about 5-7ft. Work most of the limbs slipping your rod tip out there and letting the line feed out. Most of the time as your cork reaches the stopper it will just keep going.***HINT*** use big line and pull them in quick.
Bass they will be up by the bushes also, slow roll war eagle spinner bait. Bright sunny day with low wind use a fluke. it will be a good time to hook up on some really good fish
