Louisiana Sportsman seeks to unite camp owners, hurricane evacuees
The hundreds of thousands Greater New Orleans residents fleeing the floodwaters from Hurricane Katrina are struggling to find lodging. Hotels are packed, and shelters are filling across the country.
There are thousands of camps lying across the unaffected areas of the state, and Louisiana Sportsman encourages owners to open the doors to refugees.
If you would like to make your camp available, we ask that you use our Reports page.
Pertinent information would be location of camp, number of people that can be accommodated, length of availability, contact telephone numbers and any other information you feel is necessary.
Our prayers remain with those displaced by the storm and the ensuing flooding.
