Artic Cat???

I am thinking of getting a new Artic Cat atv. What are your own experiences with the brand and pros and cons. Thanks for the input and your time.

artic cat

It is the HD series of 4 wheelers. A friend of mine is a big time artic cat fan and he has me sold on them. Extremely tough and durable. If u want a manuel shift bike I would go with the 500 4x4 if you want an automatic get the 700H1. I havent seen too many problems with his till he lifted it. He has the older 650h1 has a 6" gorrila lift, 32" siverbacks with a 15hp shot of nitrous. He sunk it twice in sandy water and shortly after started smoking. In stock form with a good set of tires they are great bikes.

Thanks

Hey guys thanks for the information. I am looking at one of those 2 seaters for the family. Either the 550 or the 700. Have heard some good stuff and a little bit bad. Watched some crazy stuff on you tube. I will mainly be using the bike for trails and stuff. Nothing extreme. Thanks again

I don't know where you get your information but I am on my third one. I started off with a 300 2 wd then a 300 4 wd and now I have a 500. I have never had a problem with and of them. I don't mud ride for fun but when the lease is muddy it goes where I want it to go.

Have you had any issues with the brand. I had one guy tell me that it kept killing in a little water. Since you had 3 of them I take your word over his. He would tear up an anvil with a rubber mallet.

2 seater

I drive a 2 seater CanAm. It is a little longer than your typical bike and all the weight of the extra rider is between the axles. We ride in Arkansas a lot and it sure makes a difference when going up hills. In responce to your post, I know several people that ride Artic Cats and they really like them and the service is great I hear.

Paco

I bought my first one in I believe 2000. I never had any problems with any of them. The only reason I kept buying new ones was to upgrade and let the kids use the smaller ones. I still have the 2003 300 4wd and it has never given me any problems.

killing in water

Thats just from steem sucking into the airbox when the hot motor gets wet. No problem.

Steam

The Yamaha Girzzly has the same problem with steam. Simple snorkel mod can take care of that and add a little insurance.
