I put this in my new boat. It comes in peel and stick or glue down. It is about a quarter inch thik and is spongie, but havent tore it yet. www.hydro-turf.net
This stuff is the ticket, got in a 18/46 Gator Tail and this stuff will not let you slip or slide with redfish slim or marsh mud all over the floor. One boat at the camp has had it for three years and stays parked outside and the stuff is still in great shape. The 3M self stick is the way to go!
Friday I bought 5 sheets from Gator Trax for $80 a sheet plus tax it's tricky to put down it takes a while to get it straight you have to wipe it down with denatured alchol and on the edges spray glue 3m 90 you can get both at home depot the glue is $13 a can. Also the sheets are not square you have to be carefull when you lay it out I will go take a picture of it and post it in about 10 minutes. ALso you can taper the edges with a sand disc it really dresses it up
i did the floor of my 16 ft sea ark with the non skid paint from bass pro. i added alittle more sand to it and never had a problem with it geting slick. you will see some cracking from where the boat is flexing but it never cause a problem. i used the sand color for the base and webbed the olive and it looked great. cost under $200 for whole boat.
hydro turf is the way to go.
if you order from www.hydro-turf.com and mention blackspotfishing you will receive a 15% discount.
Get it done!!!!!!
I had my aluminum poling platform sprayed with bedliner several years ago. It's not slippery, it's much cooler and has held up very well. The color has fades some, but there is no peeling or cracking.
I think it should work well for your boat floor. The only question I would have is how it would hold up to the likely flexing that may occur with a boat floor. Perhaps someone with it actually sprayed on a flat boat could better answer that.
Good luck.
