Freshwater Fishing in Lafitte in Southeast Louisiana

Bringin the wife and son fishn he is 4.

I was thinkin about fishin the Bayou Gauche area. I fished there 8months or so ago and got scunked. I have a 12ft flat. Any ideas of places i can go and get my son and wife in one the fish.Catauchie, Des allmends, spillway,????

I'd suggest the spillway off airline...fish toward bank where

there is nearby structure, fallen trees etc... I took my daughter and we did well fishing out of my 14ft flat...crickets, wiggler for bream and catfish. Steady action for about 3 hours. We had to weed thru the smaller bream. Catfish were about 1 to 2 lb range. Going to try this morning will try to post pictures
