I love my 18ft Xpress bay boat easy to clean, floats like a cork, corners great, yet fits in my garage. with the 90 yam it is pretty good on gas, two live wells, under deck storge, 48 on the water the 115 yam would be interesting !
I love the non slip coating, Big enough for open water but small enough to be an easy tow and love the aluminum trailer. Never-ever get water spray in boat !!! and with the sand color it stays cool always not like the green G3
Can't go wrong with Xpress Bay Boat
Good luck
I ahve a 20 foot xpress tunnel hull with a 115 4 stroke on it. I can fish in 5 inches and run in under a foot.It handles well in 3-4 ft waves and has high sides which keeps the kids safe. Lifetime warranty on welds and is all welded no rivets to come loose. My father in law has a 22 ft with a 150 yamaha and one of my buddies has a 20ft with a 115 on his nothin but pos results. As for the carpet I have 2 kids and I have the only carpeted xpress in louisiana sold as of last year. Easy to clean cause we dont use live bait alot kids good with artificial. Kids dont burn themelves on hot days and wife loves to lay down and knap.
Xpress is the way to go. I just picked mine up Friday. I did alot of research. Test drove a bunch of aluminum cc boat. The Xpress beats every single one of them. Solid hull, very well built. Xpress makes them in three size. (18ft, 20ft, and 22ft) I went with the 20ft and it suit me well. For the $$$ go with the HD series, unless your have a bunch of $$$ in the bank, then the X-bay series is the way to go( very expensive).. Go luck with your boat shopping. If you have any questions shoot me and email and I'll be glad to help..
I have an 06 HD 22 with a 115 Yamaha on it. The only complaint I have about the boat is that when I was repowering the boat I could only go up to a 130 horsepower for that year boat. The year after this model was made they reinforced the hull and now you can put at least a 150 on it. That being said she runs at about 41 MPH with a light load and with a full load around 37.
I have first hand info on the laguna tiger.
That boat is amazing.
It seems like it never gets on plane.
Just give it gas and it just pops up without any bow lift and goes.
Fishes solid too.
We didn't have any big waves that day so I couldn't give you any info about that but it is a very fine boat.
I'd trade my kenner in on it in a jiffy.
MOJO
Not a single aluminum boat on the market can touch a Laguna Tiger inverted V Bay Boat! Made to order in Lufkin, TX. Mine is 21.8ft runs in 4" of water and fishes in 5". Takes NO spray from the waves and corners like a V hull!
