Took a solo trip to Dularge today and the weather man got it wrong. After seeing the wind report, I thought gnats would be a problem. No gnats today, just 15 mph winds and muddy water. The area really needs a few days without wind to get back on track. Finished with 18 trout (10 throw backs) and 1 flounder. All were caught in 2-3 foot water, tight lined with an LSU Chub.

You have knack of picking bad weekend....
Sorry Tim but I'm not touching Lake P. this weekend. Tomorrow you are looking at 20 - 30 mph winds and Sat. isn't much better. I went today out of the Rigolets Marina. I turned right out of the marina with every intention of hitting the trestles (supposed to be 8mph winds today)within a minute my plans changed. Wind was terrible! I ended up settling on Lake Catherine and even then I could have been surfing because of the waves. I found some protected water but still the water was nasty. Ended up with 5 specks and a big gaftop (thought it was a trophy trout at first, it just teased me). I called it a day early. Back to back days of waking up early has kicked my butt. We do need to get together and do some fishing here soon. I'm probably out of commission for about 2 weeks but then I'll be back at it. Maybe you can meet me in Dularge unless you come back to the north shore for a weekend. Good luck this weekend and let me know how you do. Be Safe, Lake P. has no mercy!
