I hunt the Catahoula District. The Vernon District has the most birds.

I think LWF had a meeting the other night and voted that it was illegal to run turkey dogs!!!!! Still hunting only in Kisatchie National Forest!!!!!

I really enjoy hunting the Fort Polk area. Just call ahead and make sure they are not bombing your area that day !!

I hunt the Winn District. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck this past weekend. Im going to try and make a hunt this weekend.

We hunted Goldonna area.. We heard nothing either morning. Heard a few shots Sunday. It usually heats up later in the season. We'll be back next week ....

Thats the area that I hunt also. I camp at cloud crossing. I have seen alot of birds during deer season.

My group hunted vernon this weekend. Didn't hear a single bird. Plenty of guys walking around yelping all morning though. Heading to Evangeline next week.

deerman,i'm headed up there this weekend too & i've been hunting winn district for years. i'd be glad to show you some spots if you want. i'll be staying at the public campground.

What camp ground are you staying at? I have a few places myself but if you wana team up im down for that too
