If the water is low (i.e., you see lots of mud along La Loutre's banks), try St. Malo. La Loutre can be very good, but boat traffic will be awful. I'd be paranoid of Stump Lagoon if you have never been there.
You can also try the cuts along the spoil canal across from BSM, just be careful and follow the north bank or you WILL get stuck. A little further west along Loutre from BSM is a man-made canal, this has trout in it sometimes too at the cuts.
If the water is at a decent level, there are many more options. Actually, then you can try anywhere the next couple of weeks. But......very soon (Dec. 20ish).....the trout migrate to the deep water, they feed much less, and it becomes tougher, then best bet is drifting La Loutre.
...might be best to go w/ someone that knows the area in the winter or use two boats,(w/radio)...other than that do your Columbus sightseeing/exploration in the summer !!!...there was a case where two duck hunters froze only 100 yrds from the Interstate...there is a few people in here that will probably remember more !!! ...why make the 10:00 o'clock news ???...ugh
