I hunt in homochitto nat.forest.have also hunted caston creek wma which is across street from okhissah lake.I hunt mostly just nat. forest because is close to my camp.and no permit to fill out in my camp we have killed 4 130 b&c in past 6 years and our neighbor killed a 152 b&c last year, all in nat. forest.

I hunt the homochitto and caston creek for a long time, I would never get back in any leases they suck. The only downfall about the forest you can't shoot doe leagally. I killed some nice bucks but missed and saw alot of great ones but thats just deer hunting........

yeah, we mostly hunt the national forest and we kill a few good deer every year. i have also seen a few monsters through the years. the lease i'm in has alot of food plots on it, but i like the forest better.

Try Sandy Creek WMA! Lot of deer and good quality bucks. Not alot of pressure and bunches of untouched woods. Great place for bow hunting. Took 4 140 class bucks in the past two years! Borders Homochitto national forest!
