When you idle out of the marina canal, go right if you want to go to the Intercoastal. You can also go left and there are canals around there.Once you hit the Inter. go right to get to Bay Wallace, Turtle Bayou, and the School Board. If you take a left at the Inter., that will take you to Bluebird and Copesaw.
if you come out the canal and take a left there are a bunch of canals with in 5-10 minutes that CAN be good. if you go to the left it makes a right after about a mile then its a long canal the 3rd canal on the right(i think there is a big well head you can miss it ) will take you to the intercoastal the last canal on the left before you get to the intercoastal with take you into lake hackberry i probably just got you lost lol get a sattelite map of the area its the bayou black lake decade map
IF YOU WANT TO GET TO THE INTRACOASTAL PUT THE LANDING AT YOU BACK AND GO. I HAVEN'T BEEN THEIR IN A WHILE, BUT I THINK THATS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GO. WHAT PARTS ARE YOU LOOKING AT FISHING? THEIR MAY BE A CLOSER LANDING SITE FOR YOU.
Thank you for all the help. Bayou black is the landing that the tourn. is using. Just want to catch a few fish to weigh in, so looking to go afew miles or so. Myself and son do it for fun. After next sunday you can,t be on the water until the tourn, so I have only one day to kinda ride around and look for afew spots. Not looking for anybody's honey hole just a gneral area. Thanks guys'''''''''''
There are a ton of places to fish out of there. For the sake of not getting lost, idle out of the launch and go right, its a straight shot to the ICW. From there, you're wide open. Either first thing in the morning or on the way back to the weigh in, there is a cut right beside the launch canal.......fish it. There's an old sunken barge in the back of it and it opens up to the marsh. For years fish were turned loose at the landing after tournaments and a lot of fish went around the corner and into the marsh and to this day, you can still catch quality fish in there.
Thats a good thing, thank you' ' ' ' '
