Inshore Fishing in Southeast Louisiana

Bait

I'm plannning to fish Pointe a la Hache 13-22 of April. Can anyone tell me if the water has cleared or if I need to head out to Iron Banks or Pelican Point? Also is there anywhere you can get live shrimp prior to May. I had heard of a place that is called Frielichs (??????) near Port Sulphur. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Live shrimp

I believe Frelich's near the Empire bridge has live shrimp at ths time. It's probably at least fifteen miles from the PALH ferry.

Gauthier's

You might also try Gauthier's on 23 Hwy. just south of Port Sulphur. 29838 Hwy. 23 is the address. 1-985-564-3403.

Frelich's is further south on the same side of the highway.
