Come on out, the water's fine. Really, most of the water above California Point is clearing or at least WAS before the NW gale of yesterday, last night and probably most of today. I would wait another couple of days and let it settle a bit.

Have you or anyone reading this comment heard anything more about the closing of MRGO to river traffic and converting it strictly to recreational
usage? I have heard lots of talk but only talk.
Maybe you can dig up some info.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, at 47 I've realized that I do come from a long 'addicted' line of trout fisherman. You either got it or you don't. I'm still the kid, of my fellow junkies, and that's great, because they teach me daily. As far as the MRGO, I think its so tied up in politics as it was from its fruition, that it will take a long time (this is La.) for any sense to come of it. Does anyone else have any input??

I think the MRGO has been slated for closure but not until it is too late... I mean not until some of the businesses have facilities rebuilt so that they can recieve the same cargo they do now from the Mississippi River. I believe we are suppose to be about 9 years away from that work being completed so I would assume that means another 15 years before the work is actually completed. Do I seem synical to anyone?
