GPS/Sounder Combo...Boat-to-Truck?
Capt.Paul, I have been reading all the post and gathering info on purchasing a new GPS/Sounder for my new boat. I noticed that you mentioned that it would be wise to get a handheld mapper so that you can be more familiar with it and not be restricted to using it just in your boat. Good idea. Now this is where my questions gets 'noobish', I notice that some Combo units have a built-in antenna. Couldn't I just remove the unit from boat and put it in the truck? Thanks in advance.

No Problem
Hey no prob Capt.Paul. Hope things are ok. I called Garmin and they said that I could use my GPSMAP 498 sounder in the boat and in the truck, just have to have the proper maps.
