Finally got half a decent chance to hit de ole T-Funky via Chapman pirogue outta 3 Rivers launch and chatted with homeowner where just last year I nabbed my personal best bass along with 5 of his buddies and this gent likewise had caught a chunk and released it(hated to break his heart but advised that two of dem T-Funk chunks getting mounted)!!Right off the bat, missed nice chunk that spit the worm hook right at side of Chapman and bummed me out!!Had every intention of finally finding some T-Funky slabs and almost accomplished that!!Had Slab Daddy jigging pole in tow along with baitcasters rigged with Yum Swimming Dinger worm on one and Spro frog on other and did manage to foul-hook decent bass in T-Funky main river, pic attached and you can see the scar where Owner worm hook nabbed side of bass, was funny reeling him up back-wards!!Missed yet another nice chunk, this one near Beau Chene Golf Course and I seem to almost always hook up with a chunk along the numerous cypress trees just outside Beau Chene(last year lost one estimated at well over 7 lbs, judging by size of bucket-mouth)!!!Did run into fellow complaining bout being retired and not having folks to invite for fishing trips(this gent nabbed huge sac au lait while we were chatting)and I told this gent that I am not retired just self-employed(or self,un-employed,depending upon ya perspective)!!Did try my hand at slab fishing and caught skinny bass that I quickly released.Winds started kicking up way too much for my liking and made my way back to 3 Rivers Launch where I chatted with gent who had given me the scoop on getting Shimano reels refurbished and have 3 being delivered today. All in all,not a bummer trip today other than loosing two fine T-Funky chunks and did bring home decent bass, caught on Yum Swimming Dinger(foul-hooked this lil jewel)!!

Just got in from trip to Lafayette for Small Group Presentation with my business partner and wanted to respond to request for info on refurbishing Shimano reels, also this company refurbishes Abu-Garcia as well.Company name is Southwestern Parts and Services,605 W Mockingbird Lane,Dallas,TX 75247 phone number is (214)630-8161/fax is (214)631-7634.I have an older Calcutta and fairly old Abu-Garcia both in need of refurbishing and might send them in as well as a few more Shimano's that have quite a bit of wear and tear on them.Got back three reels and they feel like brand-new,can't wait to spool em up and chase some fish with em!!!Cost was $25 labor per reel plus parts and think my total for three reels was $187.36.
