HELP

I am looking for a chip to install into my Lowrance HDS 12 that shows the offshore rigs off of the Louisiana coast. I talked to standard mapping and they say that their 'Louisiana 1 premium card' is what I need. They say that the rigs are shown out to 200 miles. When I ask my local dealer who sells and installs the card, he tells me that they only go out about 5 miles. I am confused and looking for help. Please if you have 1st hand experience and own this card, let me know thanks

Re: STANDARD MAPPING
Thank you for the offer. The dealer I went to was front to back boat service in baton rouge. He has all of the different cards available and my boat is there for other repairs. I don't have a problem buying the card from him, I just wanted to make sure that what I buy is what I want. I use the boat out of grand isle mostly and I go offshore at times. Which card should I get that will show off shore rigs, wrecks, etc?

thanks

Re: STANDARD MAPPING
ISLA Mapping which created Florida Marine Tracks now has the entire coastline of LA out but it's not yet posted on their web page. It was just released a few weeks ago and there are people now running it. Thousands of miles of Tracks are currently provided from just west of Houma to Mississippi. That chart has every rig in the GULF on there, State Owned Land areas, Oyster Lease Areas and tons of other detail all marked with the same precision that was done in FL. And the imagery allows you to zoom in on your machine to about 50' to 100' with clarity. There is some side by side examples with this other product posted on the Florida Marine Tracks FB Page. The photos speak for themselves.

The price is going to be about $600 but you can get it for $399 now before they get LA posted on their website if you contact them. The website is changing to ISLA mapping but you have to go to FloridaMarineTracks.com for the time being.
