Blood Thirsty..

I shot this 9 point near Monterey, LA and it looks funny.lol Only kidding guys. I'm from Louisiana, but just moved out to Utah last July. This was my first season to draw a mule deer tag out here and on the second day of the hunt on the Manti-LaSalle range, I bagged this '5x4.' Needless to say I was ecstatic. But this kill did not quench my thirst. In fact it made me more thirsty, and out here you only draw one tag a year, and thats if you draw out at all. Luckily for me I know a state that gives you six tags with the purchase of your big game license, and the fact that I'm coming home for Christmas and this guy took vacation until the 2nd of January, meaning ole Bowtech and I will most likely be catching cool weather, and the start, but hopefully peak of the rut. Ophelia, I'm coming for you!!

Nice Muley. I moved from LA to Park City, UT in 1987 and spent 20+ years hunting mule deer and elk. One of my nicest bucks came from the Manti-Lasalle range only 100 yards from our campfire. You will love hunting in the mountains and seeing all kinds of different wildlife. Try the North slope of the High Uintas if you can.
