The sinkhole swallows more swamp

Wow: Check out the video of the Assumption Parish sinkhole swallowing up more of the swamp. Watch how quickly those trees disappear.

cool video

wow. I wonder what that spot is going to be like when everything finally settles. Any projections on how long this thing will continue to grow?

Election consequence

Its why elections have consequences. Jindal was re-elected by the masses without much fuss. I'm a conservative, but not a Jindal fan. There are good and bad Democrats/Republicans/moderates. Character is more important than party affiliation at a local level. Obviously, at the federal level, party affiliation is important. Anyway, now we have three more years of this nonsense why he pursues some kind of position in Washington DC, traveling on our dime, and obviously beholden to campaign contributors.

By the way, the sinkhole is now 1.5 times the area of the Superdome and still growing.

subtle but effective

Good question.

Its the lack of doing anything or saying much about it. Its subtle, but the way he works. Notice he has yet to make a comment after the video went virile. Most politicians would be capitalizing on the situation, unless there is a vested interest hoping it will just 'go away.'

Hope that answers your question.

nope. sorry it does not answer my question. while I do think politics is involved in everything in this state I don't think Jindal has any control in this. did the company that carved this salt dome get their specs. wrong . remember I am not the smartest minnow in the bucket , I think so. I don't see what that has to do with Jindal. now if there is documents that can prove it was known it could collapse i'd be the first to say HANG UM . other than that I think what happened happened and give the residents fair compensation . I don't see where Jindal has anything to do with that unless he is an owner in the company. If i'm wrong please explain.
