Inshore Fishing in Cocodrie / DuLarge in South Central Louisiana
David Majer Crew Chasing Redfish
David Majer and crew came down to Cocodrie from 5 different states for two days of redfishing. They hit it perfect besides a few thunderstorms that had us on the run Saturday. Saturday found us in Lake Boudreaux reeling them in on my redfish spinnerbaits tipped with bayou chub minnows. It was little hard to spot them with the overcast but we did some blind casting and found 12 redfish before the storms hit at 10 am and had us heading to the camp.
Sunday the weather cooperated and we filled up two boat loads of redfish, with a mixed bag of flounder, sheephead, drum, specks and white trout. Spinnerbaits, gold spoons and cajun thunder corks with a minnow on a 3/0 kahle hook with no weight. We ran to lake Barre by the Schlitz camp on the falling tide and ended the day catching trout under the birds. Big thanks to Capt. Ryan Young for running the second boat.
