Bowfishing trip
My buddy Randy and I scouted down at the Atchafalaya Delta this morning. Despite the voracious deer flies and mosquitoes, we got a lot of scouting in before it heated up too much. We saw 7 hogs and heard a few more and found plenty of sign both deer and hogs. On the way back to town, Randy wanted to show me a spot to bow fish. He has a nice Mathews set up already, so I volunteered to video his excursion. What a blast we had. We saw a ton of gars, Grass carp, Asian carp and mullets in the bayou he chose. He arrowed a few of the carp. This looks like something I definitely want to try...

i sure would like to get my hands on those carp. We use them to fish red snapper. are you near lafayette?

Berwick
Randy was shooting those carp in a clear water bayou near the Berwick boat landing. It has a bunch or water lilies in it and the water is pretty clear up near the end of it.
