Just caught one a few weeks ago in Pensacola Florida but never heard of one around here.

Just caught one on Saturday in West Delta area. I have never caught one either until then but they were everywhere we stopped when we were targeting Cobia.

i caught one twice out of empire at the rigs. once it was roughly 12 inches and the second time i had one about 16 inches, both times it was in august in extreme heat

i was told if you catch one its because a nice sized shark passed by your line. the reasoning behind that is they seldom if ever go without a host fish to carry them around.

I read the same thing on a website the other night after he caught it. I have never seen a shark in the Eden Isles canals before but think i might have to start checking more closely when i stick my hands in the water. Anyone ever see any sharks around the canals leading or into Eden Isles? This one was caught on the Eden Isles side of Lakeview Drive.

August is the peak activity month for sharks in Louisiana waters, always has been, and where there are sharks there are Ramoras

Not an everyday occurrence, especially inshore, but have found them on sharks or big drum I've landed. Every now and then one will bite your hook....caught one in Galveston. If they fall the 'wrong' way, they can be a challenge to remove the the boat floor.

Caught one almost 3 feet long last week. Easing up to a rig about 25 miles out with a 6 inch croaker dangling in the water and it swam up and ate it. Thought it was a small cobia til we got it in the boat. Biggest one I've ever seen.

I caught 2 back to back while fishing from WC 509. When i got it to the platfom I didn't know what it was looked like it had the bottom of a flip flop on it's head.lol... I put it on the deck and could't get up. I had to use a knife to brake the suction. Pretty cool looking fish.
